The authors investigate the interesting set \\[ C_{f, g}:=\\left\\{w \\in X: \\text { the attractor of IFS } \\mathcal{F}_{w}=\\{f, g+w\\} \\text { is connected }\\right\\}. \\] The main results of this paper are as follows.  Theorem 2.3. Let \\(X\\) be a Banach space and \\(f, g\\) be Matkowski contractions of \\(X\\). Assume that \\(f\\) is a compact operator (i.e., \\(f(D)\\) is relatively compact for all bounded \\(D\\) ; \\(f\\) need not to be linear), and \\(g\\) satisfies one of the following conditions:  (i) \\(g\\) is affine and Lip\\((g)< 1\\);  (ii) Lip\\((g)\\leq \\frac{1}{2}\\).  Then the set \\(C_{f, g}\\) is a countable union of compact sets. In particular, if \\(X\\) is infinite dimensional, then \\(C_{f, g}\\) is \\(\\sigma\\)-c-porous and  nowhere dense.  Theorem 2.8. Let \\(X\\) be an infinite dimensional Banach space and \\(f, g\\) be Matkowski contractions such that both \\(f\\) and \\(g\\) are compact operators. Then  (i) \\(C_{f, g}\\) is strongly porous (in particular, nowhere dense);  (ii) \\(C_{f, g}\\) is a countable union of compact sets, and in particular, \\(\\sigma\\)-c-porous.  For more general set than \\(C_{f, g}\\), namely, instead of two contractions \\(f\\) and \\(g\\), of the first author [Bull. Soc. Sci. Lett. 64, No. 2, 81--93 (2014; Zbl 1368.28001)] investigated families of contractions \\(\\mathcal{F}\\) and \\(\\mathcal{G}\\).","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4040874"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5537992"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5472700"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4853859"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3748510"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3731958"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3427726"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4520433"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1923995"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4080100"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q624569"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2440927"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4396494"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q963147"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2944328"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5308238"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1117045"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2026-03-26T21:46:54Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
