An elliptic function \\(f: \\mathbb{C} \\to \\widehat{\\mathbb{C}}\\) is a transcendental meromorphic function that is doubly periodic with respect to a lattice \\(\\Lambda\\). The main results of the paper are as follows:   (1) An elliptic function of order two has no cycles of Herman rings.  The author uses some techniques to perform quasiconformal surgery between an elliptic function \\(f_\\Lambda\\) of order \\(o \\geq 2\\) with an invariant Siegel disk, and a rational function \\(W\\) of degree \\(d \\geq 2\\) with an invariant Siegel disk, to obtain a quasiregular function \\(g : \\mathbb{C} \\to \\widehat{\\mathbb{C}}\\) outside a discrete set of poles with an invariant annular domain, where it is conjugated to a rigid irrational rotation. If \\(\\Psi : \\mathbb{C} \\to \\widehat{\\mathbb{C}}\\) is the quasiconformal map that conjugates \\(g\\) to a transcendental meromorphic function \\(\\mathcal{G}\\) and \\(\\tilde{\\Lambda} = \\Psi (\\Lambda)\\), the author shows that \\(\\hat{\\Lambda}\\) is a lattice.   (2) The function \\(\\mathcal{G}: \\mathbb{C} \\to \\widehat{\\mathbb{C}}\\) is a doubly periodic function with respect to the lattice \\(\\tilde{\\Lambda}\\), it has order \\(o+ d -1 \\geq 3\\) and possesses an invariant Herman ring.  (3) Let \\(f\\) be an elliptic function of order \\(o_f \\geq 2\\). Then \\(f\\) can have at most \\(o_f -2 \\) invariant Herman rings.","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4275675"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5408679"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5742877"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4658617"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5676510"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q439286"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4827381"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2566260"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1622866"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2389145"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3642682"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2800394"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3757030"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1585293"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2026-01-26T10:18:58Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
