Basel etc.: Birkhäuser Verlag (1989; Zbl 0697.47048)] reformulated the initial definition in the framework of algebras of unbounded operators, thus including many more examples. In this paper, the authors investigate topological tensor products of normed, respectively Banach quasi \\(^*\\)-algebras. Their motivation comes from the fact that tensor products are used to describe two quantum systems as one joint system.
