As usually, \\(\\Delta\\) denotes the forward difference operator, and \\(\\nabla\\) denotes the backward difference operator. First, a brief historical survey of related problems is presented. The main results are various conditions which guarantee oscillation of all solutions. The proofs are given, as usually, by a contradiction. Several examples are given. For an illustration, here is one typical result: If \\(\\tau_i\\), \\(i=1,\\dots,m\\) are increasing, \\(\\limsup_{n\\to\\infty}\\sum_{i=1}^m p_i(n)>0\\), and \\(\\liminf_{n\\to\\infty}\\sum_{i=1}^m\\sum_{j=\\tau_i(n)}^{n-1}p_i(j)>1/e\\), then all solutions of the former equation oscillate.","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5706757"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3436654"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2470092"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q953064"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q424107"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q757741"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4811696"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4000352"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q803378"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4735565"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5904614"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4531875"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4322341"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4781912"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4828802"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1963004"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5918071"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1612499"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1414222"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4921261"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1806560"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1416290"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2026-01-20T22:51:17Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
