Fukuyama}, Acta Math. Hung. 118, No. 1--2, 155--170 (2008; Zbl 1241.11090)]. The value \\(\\sigma_\\theta\\) of the limsup depends on number-theoretic properties of \\(\\theta\\) in a very sensitive and interesting way, and is generally different from the value 1/2, which appears in the i.i.d. case. In the present paper, it is shown that any value from \\([1/2, \\sigma_\\theta]\\) can appear as the a.e. limsup in the LIL for an appropriate subsequence of \\((\\theta^k x)_{k \\geq 1}\\). In particular, the largest possible value (among all potential subsequences) is obtained by taking the original sequence \\((\\theta^k x)_{k \\geq 1}\\).","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3056576"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3081655"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4188482"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5906595"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q950344"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1046785"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3081667"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2653239"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q756232"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4134627"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5678928"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1239960"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5600531"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5734628"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2025-07-07T09:11:32Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
