The decay of entropy in this regime and possible ways to either validate or invalidate this behavior are discussed. The paper is motivated by the recent research of \\textit{P. Hänggi} and \\textit{G.-L. Ingold} [Chaos 15, No.~2, 026105, 12 p. (2005; Zbl 1080.82015)] and that on the influence of various oscillator-bath coupling forms due to W. Yang and J. Bao. Since the thermodynamic functions can be derived explicitly, their decay for low temperatures is kept under control.
