The authors formulate some new conditions that guarantee the existence of the Halley approximations in a ball \\(B(x_0,R)\\), the convergence of these approximations to a solution of the equation \\(F(x) = 0\\) (lying in the ball \\(B(x_0,R)\\)), and \\textit{a priori} and \\textit{a posteriori} error estimates. In the end of the article, two numerical results (for a simple scalar equation and a nonlinear integral equation) are presented. It should be noted that the iterative scheme under consideration is formally ill-posed (it is not clear the role of \\(y_n\\) for the definition of \\(x_{n+1}\\)).","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q914335"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q751193"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q4701934"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2370695"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2430754"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q837602"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3502620"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2379881"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q884578"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2493724"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q931004"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1125023"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q1298644"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3090789"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q631896"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2026-01-18T06:36:41Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
