Anal. 254, No. 11, 2780--2799 (2008; Zbl 1152.46006)] that a pair of Banach spaces \\((X,Y)\\) is said to have the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property (BBBp) if for \\(\\epsilon >0\\), there exists \\(\\eta(\\epsilon) >0\\) such that for \\( T \\in {\\mathcal L}(X,Y)\\) with \\(\\|T \\| =1\\), \\(\\|x_0\\| = 1\\) with \\(\\|T(x_0)\\| > 1 - \\eta(\\epsilon)\\), there exists a norm attaining operator \\(S\\), attaining the norm at a \\(u_0\\) such that \\(\\|T - S\\| < \\epsilon\\), \\(\\|x-u_0 \\| < \\epsilon\\). When \\(X = c_0\\), the first named author showed that \\((c_0,Y)\\) has this property for any uniformly convex space \\(Y\\) [\\textit{S. K. Kim}, Isr. J. Math. 197, 425--435 (2013; Zbl 1296.46008)].
