The authors consider various factorizations containing \\(B\\), \\(D\\), and \\(C\\), and relations between those factorizations. One of the factorizations, \\(A=(I+BD^{-1})(D+C)\\) is called an \\(EZ\\)-factorization. Here \\(A\\) has an \\(LU\\)-factorization with \\(U\\) inherited and \\(L\\) nearly inherited.
