For such operators, the author shows that by knowing any one of the four quantities \\(\\|T\\|\\), the norm of \\([T^*, T]=T^*T-TT^*\\), the norm of \\(\\{T^*,T\\}=T^*T+TT^*\\), and the numerical radius of \\(T\\), one can determine the remaining ones. He also computes the spectrum of \\([T^*,T]\\) and that of \\(\\{T^*,T\\}\\) in the case where \\(T\\) is self-inverse and the spectrum of \\(T\\) is an interval.
