An algebraic approach'', PhD Thesis, University of Amsterdam (1962)], \\textit{H. de Vries} showed that the categories \\(\\mathsf{KHaus}\\) and \\(\\mathsf{DeV}\\) are dually equivalent. This present paper extends de Vries duality to normal spaces and locally compact Hausdorff spaces. As a generalisation, by this work some known results are deduced.  Reviewer's Remark: In the paper [\\textit{S. Lazaar} and \\textit{S. Nacib}, Appl. Gen. Topol. 19, No. 2, 245--252 (2018; Zbl 1431.54014)], the authors proved that the category \\(\\mathsf{HComp}\\), which is called here \\(\\mathsf{KHaus}\\) is exactly the orthogonal hull of \\([0,1]\\). So it is of interest to study this approach to interpret differently the equivalent duality between \\(\\mathsf{KHaus}\\) and \\(\\mathsf{DeV}\\).","citation":[{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q670153"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3949653"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q626042"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3994935"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3270120"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3965241"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q2523525"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5639839"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q5606492"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3002522"},{"@id":"https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/entity/Q3647306"}]},"provenance":{"prov:generatedAtTime":"2026-01-25T01:49:52Z","prov:wasAttributedTo":"MaRDI Knowledge Graph"}}
