After some examples illustrating the Samuelson maps and its connection with the Jacobian conjecture, the author proves: If \\(F\\) is a Samuelson map and the succesive ratios \\(\\pi_1:=\\mu_1,\\pi_2:=\\mu_2\\slash\\mu_1,\\dots,\\pi_{n-1}:= \\mu_{n-1}\\slash\\mu_{n-2}\\) are uniformly bounded away from zero, then \\(F\\) is injective.
